Christian Soldiers Word of Mouth Ministries

The good news is...I have some more free time to devote to this ministry.

The bad news is...it's because I'm in my second full week of layoff...

Just learned I was denied unemployment for last week and its nearly impossible to reach a live person to tell them they are in error...

Sometimes the spark of faith is slight
And does not make the darkness bright.
But keep it lit and you will find:
Far better this than being blind.
One little flame when all is night,
Proves there is such a thing as Light.
Remember now the place and price
Where Jesus promised paradise.
One answered prayer when all is gone,
Will give you hope to wait for dawn.

a bit of bright light... I got through to UI ( a small miracle in itself ) and learned the error was mine...I read the online report wrong, and should be getting a bit of $ - not much, but better than nada.

I'm with you, buddy! I'm into my third month of unemployment from full-time work as of yesterday, March 1st. I was laid off Dec. 31st.

My main words from the Bible during this time have been "seek His kingdom first!"

It's from Matthew 6:33. Here's the New Living Translation:

Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.

For such a time as this....don't ya' think!?!

Yeap and I also lean on:

Philippians 4: (KJV)
6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

You're on the prayer list, my brother!

I will add me to the list. This is my second month on unemployment .
I pray for you both.

Phil. 4:6-7, 12-13, & 19-20.
Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little. For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.
And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus. Now all glory to God our Father forever and ever! Amen.

Well, the word for the rest of this week is "stay home". Next week is up in the air.

I work as a 'locator' in the warehouse of a company that was procured by a major corporation a couple or few years back. Basically, I use various lift equipments to put stuff away, after the receiving team has unloaded the containers to the docks.

Containers expected to arrive this week from China have been held up at the port.

The outbound dept., for the most part, have been sent home with a call back date of April 1st because sales have tanked so badly.

Prayers needed for the whole company and many more companies in the same boat.

Continued prayers for Kay and Alexander...
