This passage in 1 Corinthians 6 is one of those Biblical passages that will just not let me rest until I feel I have covered it thoroughly; and that may never happen.

It would be completely within the God-given authority of every God-called pastor, teacher, prophet, and evangelist in the entire world, to shout from his pulpit, "STOP BEING DECEIVED!" In fact, it is indeed God's command to all His shepherds that we do precisely that. Pastors are disobeying their Shepherd if they are not shouting this to their people. Paul's command, "Do not be deceived," begs the question (at least it should), "deceived by what?" And when translated "stop being deceived," the reader should further ask, "am I being deceived? And if I am, how am I being deceived?"
